The beginning
Montreal, jungle and learning the room.
I began DJing in 1997 and cut my teeth in Montreal’s jungle scene, holding residencies at IDJ and Junglist Fridays at Blue Dog. At the same time, I was immersed in the city’s wider club and after-hours culture, including regular nights at Sona.
Playing for those rooms—and spending countless hours on dance floors—taught me to pay attention to pacing, energy and how people actually respond, rather than relying on a fixed set.

They made me a better DJ.
A wedding asks one room to hold many ages, histories and tastes at once. Learning to connect those people—without flattening the music into something generic—has sharpened every part of my craft.
It is not about showing people what I know. It is about helping them recognize themselves in the music.
Still digging
The library never stops growing.
I am always discovering music, building crates and thinking about the next room. Nearly thirty years in, that curiosity is still the engine behind the work.
When you book DJ in Muskoka, that experience and preparation remain personal. There is no substitute DJ and no handoff to a roster.
